Or, atleast new to me:
Chuck Yeager and the Bell X-1by Dominick A. Pisano. Found it at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Loaded with pictures of flight jackets (which is why I post this here) as well as pics of the whole project to usher in the age of jet flight.
If you're interested in Yeager, aviation history, or just cool military-inspired vintage looks, you ought to check this out. I,m sure Amazon has a copy.
Be sure and check out the pics of Chalmers "Slick" Goodlin, especially the one on page 58. Goodlin was supposed to be the first man to break the sound barrier, but he demanded too much money- Yeager, being an Air Force Captain, was much more economical. But, "Slick" was sure one snappy dresser!
