Pick this up from Aero Fan off the Bay a few days ago. I have to say it is the heaviest Aero I have ever owned and the finest!

Now I have been purchasing from Aero since the late 90's so that's a lot of jackets. This one is awesome.

No pretty pics here; just use, as on a nice ride through the Tennessee Hills today. Fall colors are awesome.

Jacket looks great!
I was eyeing that one myself on the bay. It looked so nice that I had to remind myself that I already own a Cordovan Bootlegger...

Awesome! And God almighty, that jacket looks heavy. I noticed this straight away but it's even more obvious on these photos. I gotta get me one of these. . .

You know Aero Fan may be able to speak to this but I am wondering if this jacket is over 5 years old. I think Aero's Horsehide was thicker in years past. This is actually thicker than my first (no second) Highwayman. I went up to Columbia, SC and picked it up direct from Mark. When I sold it 4 years later it would still stand up on it's own.

I'm guessing this jacket dates back to 2012 "ish". That's when my 12 lb j106 was made. It's the thickest and heaviest jacket I've ever handled. It's tagged FQHH as well... I have my doubts. I'm not saying it's Steer.... But it's steer. And some HEAVY ass Steer too boot.
I'm not concerned about the skins provenance. I know some are. But I like what I've got around my shoulders. That's for sure.

Well if it's steer it's a bloody Brahma Bull.. It's feel like horse and says it's horse but like you I could give a rat's....
Oh and let's not go down all that road please.. This is just one cool jacket.
I guess I don't find it to be a bad thing. And I'm not trying to stir up trouble or knock your jacket! It is indeed a beautiful jacket and that little tag attached means very little imho.

Oh no problem there Ton. I can honestly say that I wondered as well but who cares it the best jacket I have run across in a long time an the fit is very comfortable for riding. Hey maybe it's a collectors item!!! Oh wait a minute all of my jackets are a collectors item. See, No Bad All Good!

What’s really awesome about your pics are that the jacket is actually being used for the purpose that it was designed. It’s not just a fashion shoot.
If I had to come off (& I certainly do not wish this upon you) I’d be happy that I had that beast on.
