New Borsalino arrival

Today's post brought with the bills a box containing a Borsalino bought
on OFAS. No photos yet, fighting with computer,but hat says-

Chocolate brown, a "Eulan Bayer" tag, gold&blue on black background-6
and underneath nice leather sweatband-paper tag saying:
A3847 63579 6
Lupo

Hat is soft and dense-really dense, feels like a velour;no ribbon, only other
identifiers on sweatband are Borsalino, antica casa 1857; can't figure this
one out...will try to get photo up, in the meanwhile, does anyone have an
idea as to what I've got here? Any help would be much appreciated-the wife
already swiped it and proclaimed "hey-this feels great! looks great too!"

I think I bid on that one. It looked like a nice fixer-up project. Can't wait to see photos.

Well, I can tell you that it came from a hat shop on the Corso named Alfredo Radiconcini in Rome, which is a beautiful street if you haven't been there. The Corso is a great place for a stroll, though it is often overun by teenagers.

Anyway, I would love to see that hat. You see a lot of Borsalino's, but they are usually from American hat shops.

My Borsalino "Open Road" which was first sold in the U.S. has the same logo as my Borsas first sold in French Indochina and Trieste except that it says "Original House Founded in 1857" rather than "Antica Casa Fondata Nel 1857." I'm guessing it's pretty much a direct translation.
