I'm really new to this but I love the look of 40's slacks. Much higher waisted than today's butt-crack showing low-riders.

Can you give me some advice as to where to find higher riding pants with that 40's look?

Or patterns to have them made?

J Press trousers are pretty high waisted.

Any real tailor (provided there is one in your city) should be able to make 40s style trousers. You shouldn't have to provide a pattern. It might help to have photos or sketches though.

I don't have anything from either of them, but have a look at magnoliclothiers.com and mattdeckard.com.

And, most MTM programs can produce a high rise trouser as well. On this board alone there are few options (Magnoli, Deckard, Bookster).
