Need help with my jack.

I think this is the right place to put this, if not please move it.

I thought I would try my luck here. I have a 1930's mechanical floor jack that I need help with. I need to know if anyone out there has one by chance and tell me how to operate it. It is a Walker 745B series 2 ton and is perfect for my car. Mine will jack up, but not down. I am a fair mechanic but even I know that it should go up AND down. Maybe even just pics. of the ratchet portion to make sure all of the parts are there correct.

Does it have a release lever that can be foot operated? That's the way most of them operate. One of those parts sticking out the rear looks like it might do the business.

Yes it does have a lever on the left. I am thinking the parts may be worn just enough.
