I had the privilege of meeting this wonderful Australian in 1995 when she opened a nursing home (now closing) for her friends in the Far West Scheme.

Sorry to hear it, ladies like these were my inspiration as an Aeroplane mad girl! They still are. I live nr Hull where Amy Johnson was born and I can't imagine the gumption it took to do what they did then, RIP great lady.
