I just received this little number.
I showed this to another member here, who will remain nameless, and he quickly saw the similarities to a contemporary jacket from a well known maker.
I was aware of the model, but had not looked at it recently. Sure enough it is pretty close.
Which company makes a similar jacket, by what name?
This jacket has no label and very little lining. A bit difficult to date as the zipper has been replaced. The sewing/stich holes are well lined. The Zipper pull is a 50s Talon and the stop is a Serval. Don't know anything about Serval zipper dating. The replacement is well sewn and working.
I guess it is late 40s. The rough, dry texture, says horsehide to me. I have another jacket, just in, that appears steerhide from the same era. The hides are different. Neither is labeled.
This jacket got limited interest, which is odd to me. The style is pretty cool MC jacket territory. I bought it thinking the cuff straps were a add on, not original. Having it in hand I see it they are original. Perhaps a new strap was added.

No makers label, no leather tag, no size tags
Nice multi-piece back with low adjustments.

A common lining, with very common wear.
