Hi, everybody!
I am wearing hats for about two years now and got my first vintage (1950's) suit about a year ago. But two weeks ago I bought a great 1940's double-breasted suit on eBay and it arrived yesterday. I immediately put it on and it fits almost perfectly, considering the fact that it was not made for me and made a long time ago. Plus, it is in great condition. Here are two photographs, one with hat, one without:
Pardon the poor quality, but I am living by myself all alone, so I had to use the self-timer. Also, the camers is 5 years old...
The suit is the one I just got from eBay, the hat is a new, brown Biltmore Royal, the shirt is a modern white dress shirt and the tie is a modern 5$-tie I just got last weekend, as I figured it might look good with the suit.
Also, pardon the haircut, I am in the middle of growing it out to get a decent 40's cut...
What do you guys (and ladies, of course) think? Before I got it, I was thinking to bring it to the taylor, but now I think it fits so well, a modern taylor couldn't do anything but harm it and destroy the fit...
Allbest...
