This is what I wore last week to the Premier and VIP reception at the Madison (WI) Hilton for Public Enemies. I decided to photoshop the pics into B&W photos; gives them a vintage look.

Nice look! What did you think of the movie? I saw it last Thursday night here in Detroit.
It was great fun to see all the hats and vintage autos. But apart from the cars, the film felt more like early '40s, rather than early '30s.

Of course! One must look their finest when rifling through the vault.

I thought that the film itself was quite well made... but there just didn't seem to be too much there. Yes, it was good fun, and I suppose much of it was historically accurate, however it seemed to lack any kind of depth. As with other Mann films, there wasn't much in the way of character development. They even missed the chance to make the film about Dillinger's motives... or even a study of the times. Sad really. Fun to watch, but there isn't much depth.

Anyhow, sorry to post such a lengthy review. Great outfit for the premiere!
