My new print.

Howdy all.
One of my passions is lino relief cuts. The process of creating a print is a real stress reliever for me. With that, I thought I share the progress of my new lino print. I based it (as are many of my lino cuts) on vintage jazz and noveau style. I plan to make this one a small edition of 10, 15"x 22", with a run of 5-7 colors.

Here is the sketch (digitally painted from a scanned drawing).

Here is the linoleum block cut, mounted and registered, ready for the press

Ill post progressive pics of each run until the finish so you can see

Im familure with his work, but nerver thought of him as a real influence. I dont know if Im influenced by any particular artist. Inspired, yes and yes, but I see inspired as wishing to have a style like theirs. There are some artists that I adore like L & D Dillon. But my style is not like theres.

I've been looking for a nice bookplate. Do you do custom bookplates? Something like that piece would be perfect.
