got this on ebay for about $10, the weave is really nice, but the band just plain stinks, the inside has a great store tag that has an operator call phone number GR.I-3848. Kindof looks like Jack Blacks King Kong hat.

Looks like an old Cuenca, but would be nice to see a closup of the brim and crown. Terrific color! Way to go.

I can't tell from the picture if the hat band is sewn on or is a pugaree. If it is a pug....then you can easily swap it for a more "tasteful" adornment. If sewn on, you can still cut the threads gently, and then appply a pugaree. I prefer the pugaree on older hats, they tend to hide some of the fading, if the hat was worn out too much in the sun, as all straws should be. :cheers1:
