Love 70s and 80s era Mercedes, don't own any right now, but I really like the big-body cars, W116 and W126 body. My only older "toy" at the moment is an 86 BMW 535i.
Indeed, we're fans of Mercedes. I really like the '50s into the mid '70s models... that being said, we don't own a vintage one ourselves.
Our bit of Stuttgart is a 2000 E200 Kompressor. Although it is a newer car, I really liked this model when it came out, there is retro appeal about the stretched, oval headlamps. It is a fun, solid, dependable (touch wood) automobile.
Not the most attractive location there, but you get the idea!
I would love to still be driving it in 20 to 30 years time.
I'd love to get a Heckflosse from the 60's, cool little cars, dead simple to work on. I used to work in a Mercedes dealership and got to drive all sorts of cool cars, everything from 60s era W113 Pagoda top convertibles, to the newest hotrod AMG models, love them all. Stomping the gas to the floor of an S65 twin turbo V12 is a real treat, especially when it's someone else's car...
