My first painted jacket by Harp Player Gene

By none other than our very own Harp Player Gene! :eusa_clap

I told Gene I wanted a jacket with a Stetson Stratoliner theme, gave him a rough idea of what I was after.
I liked the idea of the old bomber jackets, and thought that one based on the old Stetson Stratoliner would work.
This his the result !!!!!
FANTASTIC job Gene!
I love it!!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Very cool.

These are worth owning just as works of art to admire. Out of curiosity, do you often wear this jacket? Its a beauty and I wonder under what circumstances do you get to show it off. I think I'd be a bit too self-consious to wear outside of a narrow range of social situations. People might ask me if I was a pilot! haha. But that's just me.

I'm not an expert in outerwear, or anything outside the spectrum of hats. So I have an amateur's question for you guys. Wouldn't the paint wear off, or become damaged from water or rain, or chip off in some way? Or is it more of a display piece? I do love the artwork, especially for the Stratoliner themed jacket. Sign me up for one, Gene! :D

Check the old WWII painted jackets that are still around.
They have held up well.
But I am sure Gene could answer better than I could.
