Happy birthday man! Hope you had a great one!

Great score on the those shirts and cap, they look great.
The Cal will be well taken care of, i will have the sleeves sorted soon enough.
That parka will finally be worn and I hope it keeps you warm for the next snow storm. Good thing the tellason went to you, it looks so much better on you. Perfect length and sleeves.

The deerskin is a "bold" choice my friend, that 70s line got me good hahaha Golden!

But man don't we all need an outlet to just let it out, this pandemic is really taking a toll. "Take care of ya mentals" everyone.

Cheers!
The deerskin is a bold choice. Especially for me. Other than a G-1 all my previous jackets have been black cross-zips. I saw it for 50 and said well 50 is fine. If I hate it I’m not out anything really. If I love it, it’s 50 bucks very well spent. I wouldn’t exactly say I love it; but I will certainly wear it. It was a great 50 bucks. Very happy with it. The black deerskin I picked up is really cool, but looks way better on my fiancé than me. But I really like the leather itself so I will absolutely be keeping my eyes open for future deerskin jackets. Don’t see much elk or moose either but are on the list as well. my fiancé’s comment about looking like a 70s exploitation film star got me laughing my ass off haha. Just like you quoting Marshawn.
And yup I couldn’t believe how well the Tellason fit me. Not that the parka doesn’t, but parkas don’t need a perfect fit. They are puffy winter coats I’ll be wearing on the frozen tundra of Buffalo winters. The Tellason is a cool pick up.

Man, I'm so envious of people with well coordinated living spaces lol. My place looks like a cross between a 90s office and a frat house.

Nice pick ups man!
Trust me that has very little to do with me ha. I mean don’t get me wrong I do much of the actual labor like painting and building; but my fiancé does the coordinating and color scheming. We just moved in this past year and there’s a lot more work to do. Which really means a lot more work for me to do ha.

And lastly thank you everyone for the bday wishes. Like I said I’ve been going stir crazy. So every time I found something I said hey it’s my bday coming up. Then next thing I knew I had a ton of stuff haha. But it’s a great haul that all but the one deerskin worked out. Hopefully the 5 Star keeps the streak alive when it arrives.

This past week I went a bit crazy. I had cabin fever from working at home for the past 3 months. It’s also my bday today. Here’s my lot.
I picked up these two iron heart shirts and cap from @Bfd70. Had a chance to try them on finally and they fit exceptionally well. So thanks.
@Jin431 got my awesome Cal that I only wish fit me as well as it fits him. Fix those sleeves and it’s perfect. It just so happened I needed a winter coat and he had this Spiewak N3B Parka up. So I grabbed that as well as this black Tellason he had. Both fit me exceptionally well. Great trade. Will definitely be doing more with you.
This Mid Western Sports Togs Deerskin is fantastic. It only cost 50 bucks and look at this fit, this collar, and the liner. For 50 are you kidding me? My fiancé even said hey you look like a 70s exploitation film star.
I picked up a black Thurlow deerskin as well but that’s already been moved on. It was a “unisex jacket” and it looked better on my fiancé than me. Lastly I have a suede trucker on order from 5 Star as well as a bid on a suede Sherpa trucker.

That color is really bold, I would never be able to style that properly lol
Hmmm maybe experiment with the deerskin, dye it brown/black?
I'm glad you like the tellason type 3, I always felt it was too long in the body and sleeves for me, I'll try to find a better fitting black denim jacket later on!

I wouldn’t trust myself to dye it. I’ve never dyed a jacket before. It could be cool...but I kinda like it. I have no white/cream in my jacket inventory other than this one. Not even in my cloth jackets. So I think I’ll leave it as is. Let it have that unique spot in my collection.

And especially for @tmitchell59 i will say deer now has me intrigued for jackets. I’ve had gloves and shoes made out of deer but this is the first jacket. It certainly is no hide for motorcycles as it is thinner and spongey. But if the grain on most deer and this one included is thick and deep but not fake or cheap looking like printed on or pebble grain can look. It has great drape and give to it. And deer whether in traditional tanning/finishing or suede/rough out just has that classic western and rustic feel. Plus most of them can be had for amazing deals. I also have moccasins made out of elk...elk and moose hide jackets exist like the famous LW Moose but I will be saving some deer, elk, and moose jacket searches on my Etsy and eBay searches. The black one I got fit me perfectly but my fiancé liked it and said let me try it on and she knocked it out out of the park. So it’s hers now ha.

Happy Birthday!

Lots of Deerskin jackets out there in all sorts of styles. Good you are expanding your interest. This maker from Denver made some of the most interesting small maker jackets. This ladies jacket just showed up on ebay Not from the 30s but rather 1950s. The Western makers have a different take.

I don't have a Hendricks, but like their Style.

Happy Birthday! The color and the cut on that deerskin is fantastic.

Also, that Spiewak is one of my favorite park models of all time. I had one I lost in a bar once, been missing it ever since.

Happy birthday and best wishes, again, Dan! We've discussed all the new arrivals already but yeah, excellent purchases, both deerskins, especially the one you didn't post! :D

I might still. But remember when Haley gave it the seal of approval she then tried it on and now it’s hers haha. But maybe I’ll grab it and snag a few pics.

The Mid-Western Sport Tog stands out in that group. That really fits you well and the color is nice. I rarely see this label with any "fancy" lining. Makes it standout from the crowd. Always nice to pick something unique. what size do you wear?

This is labeled a 34 but it’s the largest 34 I’ve ever had considering I have 36 and 38 in other brands and styles that fit more trim than this one. But part of that might be the cut of this mixed with it being deerskin which has a lot of drape and give to it. Normally I’m a small/36.
