Many moons ago, when Toy was still alive, I believe, they played a little bowling alley turned dance hall here in town. I still occasionally poke myself hard with something sharp to remind myself I should have gone that night.

To top it off, they just played here a week or so ago and I had to do something else that night and couldn't go. Worse, they're touring with Charlie Daniels and the Outlaws. That woulda been fun.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Reminiscing last night I seem to recall that Toy Caldwell licensed the MTB name, so his estate may be making income off it today. Maybe that is more common than I always thought. Ronnie Van Zant did it & when Medlocke licensed Blackfoot I always thought he learned from Ronnie.

I believe the Bluebird Cafe is now closed & just a landmark? Rossington looks tired. This is supposed to be their farewell tour; who knows?

Gary Rossington has heart trouble. As far as i'm concerned Lynyrd Skynyrd died after plane crash and the loss of Allen Collins. I don't even enjoy listening to them anymore.
