Original French poster for the Lon Chaney, Sr. film, THUNDER (1929). The production contributed to the star's death...

This is going to be a long-running thread featuring some (if I do say so myself, and I do) exciting stuff! Including a handful of things I've been lucky enough to acquire recently, so anyone that has come over for parties, will also have some surprises! Keep your eyes peeled folks! :)

And feel free to please post your own golden era film-related schtuff too!

Ive shown this before but I dont care, its awesome. An original poster from Anatomy of a Murder, 1956. I love most of what Sal Bass did but I think this one in particular is ascetically perfect.

My dream is to one day own an original Carmen Jones poster. *sigh*

I have a rather select collection of contemporary movie posters, mainly focusing on illustrated images.
Some included are the original poster from Spike Lees Bamboozled, Happiness, the spray painted decal poster from 12 Monkeys (my all time favorite movie), Disney's Tarzan (the one of the drawing of him), a bus stop poster of Triplets of Belleville, and the newest to my collection, a bus stop poster of The Princess and the Frog.

Original 1919 sheet music for the Miracle Man. This was Lon Chaney's first big role:

Original lobby cards for the Knickerbocker Buckaroo starring Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. with a first time in Hollywood walk on by eventual director William Wellman AND an original 1921 lobby card for Charlie Chaplin's masterpiece, the Kid:

The daybill is the 1948 theatrical reissue for Metropolis. The sheet music is from the original 1927 premiere...!

Maurice Tourneur is one of my favorite directors:

This Maurice Tourneur film is very overlooked. One of my favorites. This title lobby card features hand attached glitter!

1940 Fredric March remake is actually quite good and really weird....

Really oddball, lost 1922 Fox Films movie...

That's it for now. I've got an original 'faint card' at the framers right now which was issued by nurses in attendance in theatres for the premiere of Dracula in 1931! Could be worse, right? Could be raining. :p

Check out this craziness. The stills are from various current for 1918 films, including of Theda Bara! Talk about the perfect pairing for this site, huh?!

I won this for $9.99! It is a color full page newspaper advertisement, measuring 16"x21". This will compliment my original 1925 8"x10" newspaper ad for the Lost World! I might need to make a dinosaur corner of my apartment. :eusa_doh:
