Any Moscow restaurant recommends would be appreciated.

...someplace quiet and elegant, yet offering sufficient privacy?

By the time we hit Moscow, my wife and I were sick of Russian food, so we had pizza. (Hey, if you want Vivaldi, I can have pizza.)

Just as a general warning, bring cash. Even if they've got the Visa/MC sign on the door, they might not take plastic, or charge you a heavy premium for it.

...did you hit any St Petersburg restaurants? (preferably close to The Hermitage Museum)...scene's being shifted....lol

We were on a river cruise between the two, so we did a lot of eating on on the boat. I'm sure we went somewhere, but nothing comes to mind.

Both cities are amazing in their own ways, so see both in you can. St. Petersburg is the old, while Moscow is like Manhattan.

1913 on Voznesenskii Prospect has been recommended. Still doing the ground recon...LOL
