Fly me to the Moon...

That strap just sets your Speedy off to a tee! what a lovely combination!!:eusa_clap It truely has become (I feel) quite an iconic watch, and yet still seems to play 'second fiddle' to the Rolex name [huh]

"Omega"

The Omega 145.012 in my opinion is quite honestly just as good as the Rolex "Daytona",or Cosmograph,Omega in its heyday were just as good as most Rolexe`s,...So why the Rolex hype?????I will take an Omega "Constellation" anytime over a Rolex!!!

On the way in to the old Mission Control Room in Houston, there is a large display case showing all (?) Omega's worn as part of the Apollo program.

I'm at work, I'l see if I can find a pic at home and post.

No, lets see theirs!

Forgive the poor quality.

I'm not sure if these are the ones actually worn, or are commeratives supplied by Omega. They appear to have the mission patch inscribed on the dial - probably commemaratives. If anyone can shed some light on the matter I'd be grateful.

Anyway, I thought it was kinda cool. A moon watch is on my one day list.

Its all down to marketing and brand positioning.

I'm not sure what movement the Daytona or Cosmo uses, but these days don't pretty much most others use a variation of the Valjoux chrono movement?

They're made in-house now but for years they used Valjoux and more recently Zenith.
