Monarch Goat Skin A-1 by Dave Sheeley-size 46/48

I bought this jacket on ebay without knowing that my friend Dave Sheeley made it. Dave told me it is made from French goat skin. Dave used a Monarch of Milwaukee label.

I'm 5'9" 185 and typically wear a size 44. This jacket is too big for me. I'm calling it a 46/48. All the measurements are in this album.

It is a beautiful hide and well made.

I sold my Heron and BK Aeronaught so nothing left in this style. This one is nice. I think the materials alone cost this much.

I'm not judging, I've done it myself. I agree with you. The hide and craftsmanship look absolutely top tier. This jacket is a steal.

I think I ask Dave about "shrinking it". I forgot to mention the Buttons, I know he said they were quite special. It really doesn't fit that bad and I've got on a very light weight shirt.

Some just said they will take it. Nice choice.

Dave has my favorite Monarch/Californian in his hands now. He has been asking measurements, so I just sent it to him. He had the numbers correct. So it will make a nice pic next to his Jacket. He also has another of my jackets which we talked about reproducing.

I've got a few around the house I wore more than the Himel or BK. One Sears Topline I have yet to do a post on. It is not like anything I've owned. Not even sure what the hide is. It fits too, actually a bit big. I'll get some stuff together and do a post.

I'm glad to see Dave's work get out there. I'll have another.

I am new to this whole world, but I bought an Aero Half Back Deluxe with the below measurements recently. Fits really well.

Jacket measurements:
Back length--26.75 inches
Sleeve length--27 inches
Pit-to-pit--24.75 inches
Shoulder--20.25 inches
Waist/bottom hem--23.5 inches

I believe that the A-1 is a slimmer, shorter cut, and the goat skin is much lighter. I am looking for a lighter jacket.

I am very interested.

Thanks for your interest. The jacket has been sold. I'll look in the closet for anything in a lighter hide.
