I picked this up a long time ago with the intention of changing the buttons and wearing it with black tie. Label dates it as tailored for a Sgt Gorman in October 1984, but this is a style that hasn't changed for generations.
Complete and in verry good condition - no mothing or any damage to the wool; any "fade" in the photos is entirely due to camera flash. The lining has a couple of very small discolorations towards the top - nothing serious, and, of course, not visible when worn. A small tear in the lining at the back where the strap is attached - easily sewn up, see photo. Buttons, silvertoned staybrite, all present and correct, bearing a crest marked ER - I don't know the regiment, but I believe it is Army rather than any of the other services. If memory serves, I bought this in Glasgow, which suggests that it may have been made for an officer in one of the Scots regiments.
Sizewise, I would estimate it to be 38-40" chest. Further measurements on request.
Asking GBP25 including postage within the UK - for overseas, add GBP5.
