mid-40s Knox Twenty - 3" brim, Cav edge - superb hat

I just received this hat in the mail, and after drooling for about ten minutes, I finally put it on, and it is regrettably only 22 1/4" around (it was advertised as a 7 1/4). The hat is almost pristine - just a few scuffs and staple hole on the sweatband and a faint indication on the crown that it had been worn and possibly cleaned, then never worn again. It's a real jewel.

Scott, I was the runner up on this hat. Do you think the hat could be reblocked or streched 1/2" with out removing the sweat band? I like the hat and would consider sending it to Art to resize if the sweat could be reused.

Hi Jon,

It has the complex whip-stitch, and it's in near perfect condition, so I didn't want to try. I did discuss with Tiffany at Optimo, and she agreed that the sweatband would be lost in a re-size.

It's a shame this hat wasn't actually 7 1/4 - it would have been an unbeatable example of a Knox Twenty.
