Maternity & "Big Girl" Retro?

I love retro style and am married to one of the Fedora Lounge guys. But I'm big (usually a size 20) and can never find any retro outfits that don't a)make me look like an old battle axe; and/or b) look completely out of line for my managerial office job.

So...I end up wearing a lot of black pants and tops, with nice high wedges.

And now I'm about 7 months' pregnant, and definitely can't find anything cute. I've been looking for one good dress or skirt/combo to surprise my husband with for our anniversary dinner coming up in June.

Recommendations/ideas? Anyone out there who can commiserate?
