Mallory Tens?

I've seen two Mallory's on that auction site that both look very different yet both have Mallory Ten stamped on the sweat band. How can that be? I'm confused.

I would imagine that a Mallory Ten was a price point, just like the Stetsons and Resistols. The two hats you posted are 1 a Fedora and the other a Homburg. I have a Resistol Ten that is a Homburg, but there are Resistol "Ten" fedoras as well.

It's just a price designation. They both would have been ten dollar hats.

Would that have been a "popular price" point back in the day – sort of like the old "Friendly Five" shoe?

That would have been a moderately expensive hat
in a day when hats routinely went for closer to $7.50.

So skillbilly, which did you win and when do we see pix?
I'm a big Mallory fan myself.

The truth of the matter is that I wanted both, but my hat shopping of late has been restricted to finding the perfect hat for my wedding. I had been looking for a black Mallory Homburg in my size for quite a while. Fate decided to smile on me and gave me exactly that hat.

As for photos, I should have one or two after the wedding itself!
