Here my newest project:
I own this German midnight blue fedora from the 1950s. It didn't fit me well as the crown is too low for my head(I tend to wear my hats quite low, too) and I'm also not very amazed by the style:
So I'm going to totally rebuild the hat. I already sent it to Marc Kitter to block it, when that's done I'll replace some things. The original sweatband was grey and dried out over the years, so I'll put on a brown more 40s looking one. The hat also lost its lining so I'll search for a new blank white lining on which I can add my own logo. I think a c-crown is the best for a 1940s-style, so I won't change that, but now the interesting part. I want to make a extraordinary hat so I'll sew on a light grey ribbon with a white bow and a light grey bound brim.
What do you think?
Regards,
Henrik
