I have a thin ribbon dark moss from Michael and I haven't posted pics because I can't seem to get the color right! Beautiful crease, moon.

This is as "in the wild" as I can seem to get this week. Photo is white balanced to show the silvermist felt as accurate as possible.

The silvermist felt (old batch from Winchester) is EXTREMELY thin — a decent wind can easily reshape the brim. It will make for a wearable felt all summer.

Huge thanks to @moontheloon for providing 40s Whippet dimensions, and @Chamuco and @Short Balding Guy for felt input.

I saw this on his Instagram and fell in absolute love ... the color and the raw curled brim had me at hello ... my goodness !!!

I am commissioning Michael for an exact clone

Micheal said he used a pecan beaver body blocked with the same #52 block as my brown and dark moss.
he said he is looking forward to using the curling shackle more ...
I got in line for a clone of this hat with a turn around of about 6 weeks

side note ... forget facebook and all that garbage ... but you should check out instagram ... it is really great to keep up with custom hatters, vintage collectors... or really anything you are interested in

plus you don't have to hear about how your neighbor couldn't find parking at the supermarket like you do on facebook ... it is really all just pictures

I recommend checking it out ... even if it is just for hats ... which is all I really use it for

plus you get to see awesome pics of old signs that Harv puts up and some really cool stuff from Alan as well ...

I couldn't say it better. Instagram is a resource for all things "art" - wether that's hats, music, photographers, painters, and everything in between. I've been Facebag (patent pending) free for over a year now thanks to Instagram, and my world is much better for it.

Thanks Moon ! Hey , the Pecan I ordered , I sent a picture , it had a Brim Curl , but it was trimmed . Chocolate Ribbon (TAR) and Trim . Straight Crown , 6" , 2 3/4" Brim . I sent the picture of the Rock'n Billy from The Last Best West site . He said he thought he could do it .

I have no idea how to do instagram , but I'll see if I can figure it out , a lot of guys are using it . As David has on his signature - 21st century man , mine should say - 19-20th century man . Ha !

Well I really cant say anything else about Gannon hats except that this are not hats are works of art, Michael really creates something very special, this hats are the best value that you can get, this hat has "vintage", "handmade with love", "quality" and "exclusive" written all over.
