LVC x Aero Rockabily / Rockafella halfbelt horsehide jacket size XL

Up for sale is this beautiful LVC horsehide halfbelt, made by Aero. Somewhere in the beginning of the 2000s we bought this Levis Vintage Clothing jacket as a present for my father. I don't think he ever wore it and I forgot all about it. Few months ago when visiting my parents I found the jacket somewhere in the back of his wardrobe. That was the first time I noticed how nice this jacket really is. Too bad its not my size.

The jacket is made from mid-weight horsehide, color is cherry-brown. Aero now sells this pattern as their 'Rockafella' jacket. A thread about this jacket can be found on the lounge:

The jacket is pretty much like new as you can tell by the pictures. No scratches, no wear, no discoloration. It just sat in my dads wardrobe for almost 20 years.

The jacket is labelled size XL
Actual measurements (see pics):
Shoulder 20.5
Ptp: 22.5
Backlength: 26.25
sleeves: 26.25

I've got it listed on Ebay for €495. I'm very much open to reasonable offers here on the lounge. This jacket needs to be worn

Beautiful jacket! That’s a small pit measurement for an xl, I’m a medium and that’s what I usually want in pit to pit. It must be intended to fit really trim. GLWS

It is indeed a small ptp. I think the trim fit is accommodated by the flexibility of the leather. In thickness it feels like the leather used on an Eastman californian. Bottom opening is also 22.5 inch btw

I would rather say this is a trim fitting 44. Measurements are of course difficult to capture in a single sizing number. I don't have a lot of jackets to compare with but I do have two Eastman jackets in size 42: the Roadstar and the Californian. This Levis's jacket is 1 1/2 inch wider in the shoulders, its longer and the bottom opening is also wider than my Eastman jackets size 42.

There was one labeled Medium, as I remember, on the Aero sales page that I gazed at for months but the measurements just seemed too small for me, and I take a 38. Love that style, though.

Id be willing to bet that if you lay that jacket flat an make sure the leather is pulled straight with no leather bunching an re- measure youd get at least 23? Curious to know
