LVC resale scene...

I have 2 pair of well loved LVC jeans - the 1886 single back pocket and the 1917 501 without belt loops - that I'm thinking of moving along. Alternately, I might have some of the (considerable) extra length taken off the 1917s and loops made out of it.

Am I f'ing up the resale potential? Is there any to begin with for washed and faded LVCs? Is there someone "approved" who will do the work?

In my experience (I buy all my LVC second hand), there is essentially no second hand scene for LVC. I buy all my stuff unbelievably cheap, on the order of £20 per pair.

People, I guess, want to fade the indigo themselves …

how do you find the 1886? I tried on a pair and the "diaper" appearance was just a bit too much for me.

Don't know where you find them - there are basically none in sizes 38-40. I figured there might be demand, and that after-market mods might cut into it.

The '86s are comfy but don't look super great with that blank expanse of butt. There's enough cuff in them to make a whole new pocket, pieced down the middle, as well as loops.

Could be, I don't know. The Cinch store off Carnaby Street seems to stock plenty larger waist sizes, though. I'm surprised they're not so available.

This isn't the Classifieds, but what size? I might be interested- I wear a 32x32 but can make do with 34 and anything longer than 32.....

Dang!, as they say. Those are nice jeans styles. I am eyeing the hard to find 1878 pantaloons at Unionmade. I won't buy them thinking of a resale but Mrs. F will want an estate sale-soon- if she sees what they cost.
