Lower End Straw Hat Basics

I've got a beautiful MontiChristi from Art, and a very nice Cuenca I got elsewhere. Most summers, I also wear a few lower end production hats. But I confess, I am mostly bewildered by the terminology. That makes buying a cheap hat, even online, risky. I know that most Milan hats today aren't straw at all, but papers. They are also very stiff. But what is Sissal, Parabuntal, Shangtung, etc, etc., etc. I have a nice Tesi I bought about 6 years ago that looks like Milan, but is soft and pliable. I suppose I can always just go into a store....

Hey! WHO put that there?

I appreciate the humor but, not at my inexperince, or expense. Just cause I happen to own a couple o' cheap hats.

That was totally torn, RIPPED, from context. :D

still muffling chuckles.
