I guess we shouldn't post links to active auctions, but there are at least two size 40 originals on e-bay right now. One is a '71 Star Sportswear and the other is a '91 Cooper. I've owned examples of both and I can tell you they are excellent jackets. I understand that you are looking for a size 38, but original G-1s run small. I wear a size 46 civilian sports coat, but I need a size 48 G-1.

Don't know if you got my PM, but just in case... I have a Brill Brothers G-1 (dated 1975) in great shape. It's a size 40 - but a very snug 40, so maybe it is something? I am a size 38 myself. No mouton collar I'm afraid, but still a great jacket. I can get you measurements, pictures etc. if you're interested.
