I wasn't sure where to post this thread, but I'm fairly sure someone in our forum alerted me to a book many years ago. The book I'm looking for has illustrations of fashion during the period of daguerreotypes and ambrotypes - 1840-65. I have a collection of such photos and want to do acrylic renderings of a few of them; however, I don't know what colors/combinations were fashionable back then. I have some guesses, and I know enough to get started, but if there is a book out there somewhere, I would like to take a look at it. Thanks!
