Lookin' for an OR clone...

More I wear it, the less I like my straw Stetson OR. Too tall of a crown and a little broad-brimmed for me. What I really want is a straw hat with c. 1965-75 OR dimensions; stingier brim and lower crown.

I'm weird, I know.... It's just that a "classic" OR makes me almost look like as much of a mushroom as a cowboy hat does.

Are looking to buy a hat such as you describe from a Lounger? Or are you asking to be pointed to a place that sells new hats along these lines?

Look for a Stetson for LL Bean "Moose River". Very OR-ish with nore modest proportions - what is your size?

You could try a Beaver Brand from The Fedora Store; you can specify brim width and crown shape.

Clarification: I will take any source offered, whether Lounger or e-store. Further, all hats mentioned thus far are *felt*. It's past Easter and before first frost; I would have thought straw at this time of year didn't NEED to be mentioned. Still looking for a straw OR or clone on the 60s-70s model; lower crown and stingier brim.
