as my old Riley once belonged to the owner of a hotel in Salcombe/Devon, I was looking on the internet to find some photos of Salcombe and/or Southern England from the 1940s and 1950s. Of special interest would be the "St. Elmo hotel", which apparently still exists, albeit not as a hotel.
So far I was unable to find anything, even after contacting the Salcombe tourist office. Does anyone know a source (internet or local archive etc) where I could find old photos from this area?
