I know this really has to do with something a bit our of the Golden Era but I have no place else to look guys! lol An album that my dad introduced me to as being one of his favorites (as well as mine now) is Stanley Black's "Russia". It was a London Phase 4 Stereo recording with the number of SP 44075 on the sleeve. I've searched for this all over the net and I could have sworn that I found this on cd a year or so ago on Amazon/CDNow. Now that I search again I find no mention of it anywhere. Does such a recording exist? I has some gorgeous pieces on it. If it does not exist on cd then is it possible to have it copied to a disc? I'd have no idea of how to do it or where to turn for that kind of help.

If anything I hope that if you guys have not heard this LP then look for a copy and check it out. It's gorgeous!

Thanks-
Scuffy

Scuffy,
Sorry, I've not heard of this album. What sort of music is it? As for transfering a vinyl album to CD, that is quite simple (if you have the equipment).

You should be able to buy a CD recorder at any good stereo/electronics dealer. Alternately, I believe that there people who offer the service of transfering your records to CDs. A search of the net under something like; CD recording services or some such might bring up something. I've copied a lot of my vinyl to CD so that I could have it for travel (It's also a good way to have insurance back-ups of rare records). I hope that this little bit of information is of help. Good Luck.
Best regards,
Sefton
