The vendor has listed this as 1980s. I have it somewhere in my head that 'Meakers' closed down in 1970s. By the look of this, I would guess this is a typical 1950s rayon summer jacket. Appears to be in fantastic condition.

Well, I'm a thirty-something Irish and I get it. ;) Yes, it's probably no a common one round here, but I knew you'd get it. ;)

It is a nice jacket, but alas way too small for me. :(
