I just got a copy of Legends, Lore & Lies: Australians and Their Driza-Bones , the story of the Australian oilskin riding coat.
It has lots of great pictures; I have yet to read it. It captures the mythic garb of the Australian outback.

This movie is based on the poem by Banjo Paterson , the Austalian poet who is even better known as author of "Waltzing Matilda."
The other great bard of the outback is Henry Lawson
