Leg makeup

Does anyone know of a good brand of foundation that would work as leg make up and a good liquid eyeliner pen that would be good for drawing a line up the back of the leg? I would prefer the eyeliner be in brown and very waterproof.

Sally Hansen makes a good leg makeup (designed for legs, too) which comes in an aerosol can. I can't remember the name.

I use MAC's face and body foundation if my legs need a little extra oomph, it melts into the skin when you work it in well, and I haven't experienced any rub-off.

Mac's Fluidline eyeliner is also pretty stayproof, but it is important that you apply it to completely dry skin.

helena rubinstein invented the leg make-up back in the 40's because there was a shortage of nylons during the war. i wonder if the company is still making it [huh]

I actually use my mineral foundation on my legs (and to cover some scars on my back when exposed in a sundress). Works great, sweatproof, and stays put. I use the bare minerals brand.

For drawing in seams, I would suggest using a product like Benefit's She-laq and mixing it with brown eyeshadow to make your own "eyeliner". By mixing in She-laq you can guarantee it's really going to stay put.

Has anyone yried covergirl liquid foundation for leg makeup? I was thinking maybe for the eyeliner and foundation something cheaper. I know covergirl has a eyeliner pen but, I have never used it.

The Sally Hanson one is Airbrush Legs, if I recall correctly is will rub off so be careful with you vintage clothes. For drawing the "seam" try one of the felt tip liners perhaps Revlon or Almay. They're not expensive if you don't like the look.

Im not so much worried about rubbing off on my vintage clothes(I dont wear vintage, its all repro). I just want it to stay all day and look good. All my clothes I try and wash really good.I think the felt tip is what I was trying to articulate on my last post.

If there is a tester try, Walgreens or CVS you could spray some on and see how it wears.

That's so darn sexy. You could turn that into a fun date night.

When money was tight during the war, women sometimes used gravy browning... But if that doesn't appeal to you, I could recommend Rimmel's Exaggerate Eyeliner for the seams. It comes in brown as well as black, and the brush is hard like a felt-tip pen so it would be easy to get a straight line. It's waterproof as far as I know, but you could always cover it with She-Laq or Lipcoate just to be sure.

He was'nt crazy about the idea of drawing seams up the back of his wife's leg at a reenactment(in front of his buddies!oh the horror!), I will probably have to get a girlfriend to do it at some reenactments. Should make for a good show!lol (And I will post pictures for everybody later)
