Leftfield x Vanson Commando Gold - Medium

Not super motivated to sell this, so lets see how it goes. Might only get a bump or two and then I'm going to take it as a sign from God LOL. But I've bought a few jackets over the summer and really need to stick to my one in and one out. My other one sold in like 4 hours lol, so lets see what happens.

Everything I said in the other sale listing is true of this one. Because it's had more wears, there's a lot more teacore coming through on this one though since it's had maybe another 50+ wears. Even though it's listed as CXL, it has more of Lux feel to it. Much more pliability and soft to touch than all the other CXLs I've handled.

Only 20 made in each size. The back length is longer than usual, no doubt, but it's a little deceiving because there's a small beaver tail and there's no front drop. From the front, it wears like some of the RMCs and Freewhellers I've seen because some of those models have a big front drop. For reference, I'm just under 6'0 and it's hitting me about an inch below my belt line.

Now that my covid stay at home boredom phase is over and I've had time to sift through all the stuff I've bought over the past couple of years, I just need to prioritize and make some tough decisions. More importantly, I just have to stay off these damn classifieds LOL. But I really want to wear some of these things hard and get some value out of them. The commando was pretty easy to get to that point, but some of these other ones require some frequent wears, and there's just mathematically too much stuff.

Lets see if someone wants to give it a good home with lots and lots of wears. Otherwise, yeah, I have no issues keeping this one. If it fades completely brown soon, I'd probably cancel my Field order for pretty much the same jacket since he's having trouble sourcing the brown Pony leather anyway.

Sometimes we need help protecting ourselves from ourselves. This jacket rocks and it looks great on you.

I gotta chime in and agree with the crowd (and your own inner-self, let's be real haha). This jacket is a gem, and you'll regret letting it go one day. Sell some denim jackets, or whatever else allows you to sleep better at night lol. But this one, it's a keeper. Commandos are basically extinct now. So keep wearing the hell out of it.

I gotta chime in and agree with the crowd (and your own inner-self, let's be real haha). This jacket is a gem, and you'll regret letting it go one day. Sell some denim jackets, or whatever else allows you to sleep better at night lol. But this one, it's a keeper. Commandos are basically extinct now. So keep wearing the hell out of it.

Yeah, unless a really worthy person comes along, I guess this one is going back into the closet. The nice thing is it's already broken in. Previous owner did most of the work, and I just sort of finished it off. So I don't feel as much pressure to wear it. But I picked up like 3 or 4 others over the summer that need a good 50 wears to start the process, and I just need to justify the cost on those bad boys by getting them out in the wild. My wife is already calling me a diva for doing these midday fashion changes to get the rotation count up LOL.

I just need to move to Oregon coast or somewhere like that. 50-65f all year round. Jackets will get plenty wears.

hahaha it's true, I'll take the credit for the Commando bug. Always been one of my favorites. I hear you -- I've got too many as well to have any sort of regular rotation, especially when mixing in denim jackets.
