leather jacket questions

I just bought this jacket for 15 bucks from goodwill and I have no idea of the age or value. Never heard of the manufacturer "r&r" and was hoping someone could tell me the age, type of leather, and value. No knowledge about this stuff so any help is appreciated. Edit: also was wondering if there was any way to fix the discoloration on the shoulder

It's a modern, mass produced copy of a 1930/40 era half-belt utility jacket in predistressed hide. No way to tell what hide from a photo. If it is heavy then it is probably cow. Worth around $40- $100 bucks on eBay depending on who likes/wants it. Maybe an application of Pecards dressing to fix the hide. How does it fit?

Judging by the label, I'd guess it was made in the 1980s.

Wow , that's an incredible price for such a beautiful leather jacket .

The jacket is of no historical value, but it is a nice looking half belt. And the price can't be beat!

I would say the reason you can't upload pics directly to the Lounge is because you don't have enough posts.

Nice! Great job finding that one. It looks like 80s. A cleaning and conditioning with Skidmores or similar and it'll be a good everyday jacket.
