Looking for some advice I just noticed on one of my leather jackets the thread used on one button hole has come loose, I'm guessing not a complicated fix for someone who knows what they are doing, should I even bother? It doesn't bother me only reason I would fix though is if the leather might tear over time/with use without the thread holding it all together anyone whose encountered a similar issue care to chime in? The photo isn't the best but should give you a idea what I'm talking about

I have a jacket with the threads on the button holes coming loose or unraveling, just as in your picture. I think the thread was cut inadvertently when the button hole was opened during construction.

Looking closely, I noticed that this jacket was constructed with nylon strips inserted between the leather in the area where the button holes were cut. The incorporation of this nylon strip is fairly common, as it adds strength to that hole and tends to eliminate or minimize stretching and tearing.

I have not attempted to repair the damaged threads on my jacket, and so far the threads have not unraveled any further.

Great Leather/Leather Care Specialist in Avon, Ill has been highly recommended by our member pak. The leather will probably continue to tear if it isn't repaired.

There isn't any leather tearing only some loose threads

So no issues with the hole/leather tearing from use? Just trying to work out if I should get it fixed or leave it as is

So far, no issues. But I keep watching it, and if it would start to show any signs of tearing, I'll have it fixed.
