Latest Texas Treatment

Once again, this homburg is not mine, it belongs to another that like this style and ask me to shape his hats for him. The latest is one fine piece of felt, I do not know the age of the hat, but the felt is like heaven in my hands. The sweatband is black and would suggest the hat may not be that old, but the feel says something different. Does anyone else have a hat like this one ?

You can not see it very well in this photo, but the sweat is embossed with the Stetson logo.

what's the leather on the sweatband like? is it soft? does it do a little curl over around back on the top edge?

Looks like a fine hat. What do you say guys (and gals) - post 1960? Possibly 1970's?

How do you like the feel of the Standard Quality Stetson Bud? I find it quite good.

Douglas this one, is one of the finest I have ever felt. It is like putty in my hands. I have tried numerous crown types, just playing with it and it holds every one. Amazing hat to say the least. The entire hat is soft as silk, right down to the leather.
