How I wish this was my size. It's no surprise all the medium size dudes are the snazziest dressers when it comes to classic vintage style. Up for sale is a late 1940s men's double breasted pinstripe suit. It's a perfect example of that post WWII style often referred to as the 'bold look'. The lapels have a lower gorge and it buttons lower giving a deeper opening at the placket. The coat is broader in the shoulders and skeleton lined. The trousers are pleated and have a snap button closure which was also common in the late 40s early 50s. The waist has dropped loops and a v-notch in the back seam. The suspender buttons were removed however. It's an easy fix. At your request, I can include vintage 40s brace buttons still on the card. The suit is wool, cocoa brown in color with rust brown stripes. It has the 1939 Union label. So it's pre 1949. It's around a size 40 - 42. The coat measures: 22" pit-pit, 20" shoulders, 25" sleeve, and 31" top collar to bottom hem. The pants are 34 x 31 1/2" inseam with 2.5 - 3 inches to let out the waist and an inch to lengthen. The cuffs are 1 3/4" wide. It's in crisp condition and excellent shape. I'm asking $180 with free shipping domestic. Cheers!
