Hard to tell from a photo, but this looks like it might be Aero's European Steerhide. This is what my Highwayman is made from, and it is wonderful stuff. Less armour like than FQHH or Heavy Steer, but still plenty durable, and has the perfect drape for the way these jackets were worn in the mid-late Fifties.
