Thanks for sharing that technique!I bought a hat off Ebay a while back and it came with a hole punched in it from a price tag gun (in the brim). What moron did that I cannot imagine. But I did have success fixing it. I had some matching colour felt strips from brim trimmings. Taking my leather hole punch I matched the size to the hole and cut a slightly oversized hole in the trimming to give me a plug. A very very light touch of glue around the edges, pressing it into place did the trick. I then used some felt scrapings from the hat itself and again with a very light application of a light consistency glue tamped the scraped felt around the plug to hide the seams. Being on a dark coloured felt makes it easier.....light coloured felts are much harder to hide the fix.
I successfully resisted buying this one, but that may come in handy in the future.
