Ladies I need your help!

I am sorry to intrude into the ladies section but I am trying to create a female character for my book which is set as early as 1937, I figured that I could ask the ladies for their help. I am trying to find out what type of perfume was popular. If there was a vanilla scented perfume in that time period. Also what type of makeup and colors that she will wear. She is going to have waist length, curly red hair. Light Blue eyes, and pale skin. I am not too sure on what she will wear either. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

She will also have a lot of freckles.

Vanilla-scented perfume: she would wear Emeraude if she was middle-class, or Shalimar if she was prosperous.
