Karl May

The archery thread got me thinking about the time when I last used a bow, and that in turn has got me thinking about Karl May's Wild West novels, which I used to read as a kid. He's mostly known in Europe. Anyone else has read Karl May?

Never read, but when I was a kid I used to watch the Winnetou films. Hey, we only had 2 channels! (no, I'm not so old, I was raised in europe ). My granduncle was a fan of his books, I think he has every book he wrote.

As German native I of course need to know about Karl May. I have to confess though that I never actually read any of his books. I only watched one or two movies on German television based on his stories.
