maybe the designer of this jacket is the real visionary, s/he think about how the jacket look while in motion, your usual cool jacket probably would look blurry and totally uninteresting while moving in high speed, that's why this one has contrasting outline, and the the fringe will be fluttering behind leaving trail like a burning asteroid piercing through our atmosphere about to end our days. I say one of the 4 horsemen would be wearing something like this

Now I really want the jacket.

So you can buy a Schott Perfecto for $900 new OR you can buy a Schott Perfecto that's made in China for $2415.

Though honestly, I think the "Made in China" blurb is a mistake and that this jacket is actually made in Japan but I'm still posting it here.

Another super blatant Vanson rip off.
I can draw only one conclusion.

These Japanese brands focus on local market, making copies of Western jackets that better fit the Japanese. For example 666 has been selling LL and Schott copies in "Japanese" cut for a long time. Some of their copies are made in UK but also modified to fit the Japanese. Addict originally sells vintage LL and decided to make their own copies mainly for the Japanese market.

Another reason besides the cutting is the local brands like 666 and Y'2 are more affordable and accessible. The price of imports (probably owing to import duties) are way too high. A Vanson model F actually costs more than the Y'2 copy. Aero has explained that their goods are way more expensive in Japan in the tax refund discussion on VLJ. With the current exchange rate, the Japanese brands would look even better against imports in the local market.

These brands became known outside Japan because of forums and internet. People outside started to like their leather and cut (owing to the fashion trend). But they are made for the Japanese market. Their export prices are not competitive at all unlike say Japanese cars or electrical appliances in the 70s.

Back then, you would not have known about these brands at all. No one talked about 666 and Y'2 yet they have been around years before Addict and FCL.

Look at all those brands selling Perfecto style jackets in the US. Was Durable shamelessly copying Schott or the other way round?
