Well in a way it does, the 100 or 25 or 20, refers to the original price of the fedora when sold. So of course the higher the price, one would assume the higher the grade, but then a lot of that is subjective.

I just pulled out my Stetson 25 and compared it to the Stetson 100 and there is a huge difference in the felt. The 100s seem to be super dense and so finely pounced that you have to feel it to believe something could be so smooth. I guess the proverbial saying of "smoother than a babys butt" would apply here.
