James Doohan passed away

Friends, Scotty has been beamed up. James Doohan passed away this morning from pneumonia and Alzheimer's. Sad, sad, day. Though he's best known as chief engineer of the Enterprise on the original Star Trek, he was also a D-Day survivor, a lieutenant in the Canadian Army who landed at Normandy.

Jimmy Doohan, I raise glass of Scotch in your honor. :cry:

It is sad news indeed.

I reccomend everyone watch that documentary made a few years back called "Trekkies". Doohan has several spots in there that show the real character of the man. He was as good as good men get.
