Is this knife WW2 issue ?

I got this at Newark antique fair years ago for £6....it looks similar to one in the G.I. goverment issue photo book...any ideas ?

It has an aged patina to it..

It could be a private purchase item. I read many US Service men bought the Sykes-Fairbain in WWII.

Alot of soldiers brought their own hunting knives with them to war.
There are many many different ones that the soldiers used.
This could have been 1.

No, not WW2 issue. A good price for a nice user should you have the need to whittle something.
