A cardigan? It zips up the front with BIG metal talon zipper, solid blue arms and back. Geometric design on the front.

I will think on letting you have it for a while dv! The sleeves and back are a silky polyester, while the chest is a double knit polyester. Kinda a Rockabilly, Atomic, Ricky thing all in one going on?!?

BAN LON. cardigan or zip shirt, casual wear.

Early to Mid sixties flavor.

Button on the back of the collar says so.

Would it make a difference that the bottom of the shirt doesn't have a waistband? The back picture is just the hem line. (The shirt hangs straight, it does not hug the waist). So would that still be called a Ban Lon?

I have always been of the opinion that all shirts or garments made of this polyester blend material were referred to as ban lons.

Style is secondary.

i.e. whether it is a shirt or a jacket.

It can be a zip shirt or a cardigan style sweater.
